Idols and cursed relics
Sources checked Eisenfang’s Steam guide, updated 19 Oct 2026, a player comment on the diamond idol, and patch V0.44.7’s notes on Musical Idols and the Inverted Controls Idol.
Idols are the relics. Bring them to the board for money and to unlock the next movement die. The count you still need floats above the board.
The guide’s values are bronze $100, silver $150, gold $200, and diamond $300. An effect runs only while the idol is in someone’s hands.
You cannot tell the effect by looking. Rarity can also rise with distance from the game room, so the same effect might be bronze nearby and silver far away.
The Game Master’s soul is not a buff. It is the final carry. Seal it in the board to finish.
Ludogram calls them Cursed Idols and says the power has a price. The catalogue below is the community one. Eye color is the guide’s way to recognize an idol after you pick it up.

What the board pays
| Tier | Value in the guide |
|---|---|
| Bronze | $100 |
| Silver | $150 |
| Gold | $200 |
| Diamond | $300 |
A comment on the guide (9 Oct 2026) is what confirmed a diamond idol at 300. The guide does not give diamond a unique effect name. It treats diamond as a rare material that can appear on an idol found far from the game room.
Feeding extra idols after the movement die is already unlocked spawns more movement dice, up to three. You use one. That is the legal way to fish for a roll that is not cursed.
Effects while held
Drop the idol and the effect stops.
| Idol | Tier in the guide | While you hold it | Eyes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | Bronze | Nothing | Orange |
| Ice | Bronze | A frost patch at your feet. You and anyone close slide | Blue |
| Miniaturizing | Bronze | You shrink. Your voice goes higher | No glow |
| Mirror Controls | Bronze | WASD and mouse aiming are mirrored | Pink |
| Mirror Environment | Bronze | The view flips. The controls do not | Purple |
| Teleport | Bronze | Every time you pick it up, you go somewhere random in the manor | Not listed |
| Blinding | Silver | Vision shrinks. The area around you gets dark and quiet | Pink |
| Music Box | Silver | Plays and spins. At random it glows red, then spikes hit the holder for 20 HP | White |
| Spider | Silver | Grows legs, escapes the first person who grabs it, and runs until it stops or is caught | Not listed |
| Other Player Eyes | Silver | You see through a random living teammate. If nobody else is alive, it behaves like Normal | Not listed |
| Fire | Silver | Eyes burn. It shoots flame forward and slowly turns you. The flame can kill some monsters | On fire |
| Storm | Gold | Lightning keeps striking near you. It can ignite the floor | Blue |
| Chaos | Gold | Spits random, mostly harmful dice out in front of you | Green |
| Game Master’s Soul | Special | No effect. Carry it back and seal it | Not listed |
A comment under the guide says the Music Box does not spike you if you stand still and only move the camera: stop when the head swings back, and stay stopped if it locks onto you. That is a player tip from the comment thread, not a line in the guide body.
Carrying one through a hunt
- Money Man wants the idol, not you, until you are the one holding it.
- The final soul has no listed combat effect. The danger is the walk. A Thread die is the guide’s recommended way to find the game room again.
- Mirror Controls and the boulder are a documented bad pair. The patch removed that spawn. If you still roll inverted controls in a chase, drop the idol before you need a doorway.
- House Rules, the gameplay system, are not these idols. The words “HOUSE RULES” also appear on a dining-room lore note. That note is a puzzle, covered on Secrets.
